[sdiy] Suggestions for stocking parts bins?

I've gotten good results with the grab bags from Jameco. I would recommend
getting the larger bags (the ones measured in pounds instead of number of
components). The only downside is that you have to sort them yourselves,
but I've actually found that kind of valuable because I'm new to
electronics and it's helping familiarize me with the various marking
schemes in use by manufacturers.
Radio Shack also carries a resistor assortment where the resistors of like
values are attached to each other. You still have to sort them (unless you
are very good with the colour codes I suppose), but in groups of 5/10/20
instead of individually.
