That's a possibility.  It's interresting that the temperature
range for commercial grade uA726 is 0'C to +85'C.  Most ICs
are OK to much lower temperatures, and the military grade 
726 works down to -55'C, so there's obviously an issue
with the commercial grade uA726 at low temperatures.


Anyway, the point of my original email was that my uA726s
from batch H0213 seem to be OK - worth checking the batch 
number if you buy uA726s from Hong Kong.  

 
Their ability to withstand a (GENTLE) dose of freezer spray 
is a bonus...
