the recent topics have gotten me looking for small vco's or noisemakers

i remembered the 303 had a transistor VCO but even with XOXBOX redrawn schematics, the schematic is a bit confusing) (this could just be the layout of the schematic)

but there must be others.

I know ems used transistor vcos at some point

are there any others? the key here is small and not stable 

heck, it could even be some wildly unstable magazine vco.

i am just wanting to get some small transistor circuits going ( a la ciat lonbarde)

anyway.....hope this topic isnt too similar
