I think the LM13700 datasheet spells this out pretty well. Here's the link:

Basically, transconductance g_m = 19.2*I_abc at 25°C, where I_abc is the
bias current input, such that I_out = g_m * V_in, where V_in is the
differential voltage input. If I'm not mistaken, that's all there is to it!
The absolute maximum bias current is 2 mA, but I think the response gets
seriously non-linear long before this limit is reached. The linearizing
diodes fix this somewhat.

How do i calcullate the dynamic range of the LM13700?
Gm x Iabc, perhaps the difference of input mV and output V v.s Iabc?
My well used Hal Chamberlin dosent tell! :-(
