Hi all.

Do any of you have opinions on which would be the best for attempting
to future-proof new thru-hole designs, of which some parts need to be
+5V?

My *guess* is that there may be more 4xxx series ICs already in
people's collections, and more varieties available, but that there is
little difference in the new price or availability, and that 74HC
performs better at +5V.....

Any thoughts or opinions welcome.

cheers,
Dave
