This is way off-thread but I'm snowbound going on four days so am
pulling out all my queued up projects to complete them. Years ago I
picked up a Magnatone MP-3 guitar amplifier for parts and ended up
restoring it. One of the neat features of this amplifier (which I
have never seen) was the legends are back-lit with an
electroluminescent panel and a dimmer control. These were missing
from the amplifier and I ended up finding some surplus EL panels at
Electric Goldmine years ago. I finally decided to install them today
and am very impressed with the results. This is pretty slick looking
for a 1966 amplifier and nicer than any of the legends on my modular!

I put some photos up on my miscellaneous electronics page. So far
I've repaired my Quadraverb-Plus, four Sunn speakers, a Marantz
turntable, and this Magnatone MP-3. I'll have to dig around and find
tomorrow's project although I think that's going to be digging my
vehicle out and getting chains on it.
