SONIC VARIETY? I pulled up a small variety of audio files where every
single sound was created on real analog and/or virtual analog synths
with only those 3 or 4 waveforms. I'm not experiencing any limits
with these instruments since they can create any sound imaginable.
What more does anybody want? Remember, in subtractive synthesis, the
waveforms just provide raw harmonic material, it's how you shape them
afterwards that counts. The name of the files should be
self-explanatory and put to rest any doubts about sonic variety.
