Jim was the one who turned me on to FPGAs. He helped demystify them for me.
In my opinion, an FPGA is a very optimal design environment for high performance, high
fidelity, high complexity musical synthesis.
I like to post here because you never know who it might inspire.

That's the correct forum. I didn't find what I wanted in the thread list displayed,
so I searched with the search-this-group button. Something like "USB UART", and I got
hits for older threads that weren't listed. In those I found out about the reversed
naming of the pins. So I had to actually try to do it, fail and then finally do just
the right search to find the solution. Whew! (c;
