Most 2flute and 4flute end mills are plungable also.    You can tell it is
if at least one pair of flutes is connected in the middle on the end.

As I've recently learned, an 1/8" end mill for Aluminum runs $14 for
uncoated 2 flute and $20 for coated 4 flute, and thats for taiwan.  US made
starts around $25 and the sky is the limit.
