[sdiy] "Living VCOs" PCB in 2009 ?

Guys, I didn't intend to start another "which VCO is better, or are they all 
the same" debate.
I didn't feel overly comfortable in any previous rounds on similar topics.
Things being different doesn't make them better or worse, and I don't intend 
to convince anyone who thinks there is no difference to start with. And I 
don't claim to reproduce any specific difference, either.
I have my own theories about certain differences, and while I don't claim 
I'd have understood them all, I tried to implement these parts I think I've 
understood, and I like the results.

For me it's as simple as this: If there's demand for that certain flavor of 
VCOs, I'm going to offer it.
If not, it's not the end of the world either ...

I think a VCO with low jitter and drift is more flexible because you could
still add (controllable amounts of) jitter and drift through modulation if
you want it, while you can also choose not to if you don't.

OTOH this would require additional circuits and/or patchcords etc. I can
see how musicians with sufficient space and resources might find find it
convenient to have some (extra) VCO's with mischief already built in.
