Hi Jürgen,
With "some of that early Moog and EMS character" do you mean its looks or
its sound (besides the tuning/tracking characteristics)?
I think "linear detuning" is a great idea. How about modulating the amount
of it with a slow random signal or LFO to make the VCO even more "alive"?
