What about CoolAudio? (was RE: [sdiy] THAT ICs and SSM chips)

The new line of Behringer guitar pedals (all quite
cheap) use the Cool Audio chips. The FX100 uses the
V1000 multi FX chip. One of the Cho0rus uses the BBD
chips. Not sure about others but cheaper to buy and
repackage a pedal that to spend $2000 on a crazy order
of raw chips.
