What about CoolAudio? (was RE: [sdiy] THAT ICs and SSM chips)

I've used their SSM2164 clone and they act, well, like a SSM2164. I
couldn't tell the difference, but I don't have any sophisticated
measurement equipment beyond these two flappy things on the sides of
my head.

The V1000 digital effects chip that Ian mentions is a clone of the
AL3102, which appears in all kinds of places ( I've heard of many
cheap "Nanoverb" type effects boxes that use it). Profusion supply a
daughter boards using it if you're interested in a simple way to play
with it:

http://www.profusionplc.com/pro/gex/prodGen.html?prdtyp=reverb#

I'm currently trying to integrate the RA-FX1V board (with a couple
of VCAs to control the FX output level) on an output board I'm building.

Regards,
Tom
