Try dealextreme.com I haven't found cheaper prices in majority of cases for
anything they stock and they include international shipping in the price.
I had an issue with one item once and actually found the return process
really good as well.
If they have what you want it could be worth trying.

I've bought stuff from Meredith Instruments before. Nice folks (local to
me). Looks like they've got diodes, lenses and modules. Not cheap though
- $19 for a 5mW module.
