I have had 0 problems using the USPS flat rate envelopes and their online
software, it prints a combo shipping label and customs form that all you
have to do is sign. I shipped out close to 30 LCDS (with no mention of
RoHS) and close to 80 other small parcels without any hassles in customs or
anything getting lost. I listed all the packages as "Commercial Samples"
and they cost $11 for anywhere in the world and under 4 lbs (IIRC).
Cheers,

Subject: [sdiy] Shipping PCBs to the EU ???
Anyone have any experience with shipping PCBs to the EU?
I need to send a raw PCB and a chip to Portugal. Does anyone have any tips
for a smooth delivery ?
I'm concerned with how to declare the items to Custome, and whether or not
RoHS is going to be an issue.
If there are any problems to be had... what are some work-arounds ???
TIA
