Since this is a weekly thing for me :)
a) DO NOT declare this as a gift, or zero value. It will get tossed into a
pile for 8 weeks, then returned. Declare it for $10.
b) use the green customs form 2976. In the description, say this exactly:
"printed circuit board, fiberglass"
c) below that, where there is a "box" with 'For Commercial Items Only', put
this in exactly: 8534.4 USA (there is a period between the 4s)
d) on the outside of the box (otherwise they will open it), get a 1 page
Word or Excel document with PRO FORMA INVOICE printed
across the top in 16pt bold letters. Then, make up an invoice for $10, with
your name/address, the other persons name/address. And, this is
IMPORTANT, you have to say for the item the EXACT thing word-for-word on the
customs form: printed circuit board, fiberglass.
Yes, it's a pain. But, just starting this year (I had zero issues for 14
years until 2008), if you do not do this, it may not ever get there. Once
I started being 'formal', no issues at all.
