By "stripped", you means the Phillips drive in the head is gone,
not the thread, right ? There is a special tool for that whose
name escapes me at the moment that has a left-hand thread.

But first, I would try gluing a bit of wood or something
disposable to the screw head and use that as a handle to unscrew
it.

After that begins the real fun, namely finding a replacement
screw. As it's a Japanese product, it's probably going to be an
M3.
