[sdiy] Tube microphonics: 12SQ7GT & 12AV6, 6SN7GT & 6CG7/6FQ7, etc.

I always consider my tube questions to be on topic here because I use tube
amps with synth gear. And I think of electric organs, whether they be
electromechanical like Hammonds or many many tube monstrosities like
Wurlitzers & other less complicated tube-based organs as falling under the
the topic of synth-DIY if someone plans on recreating part of the organ or
integrating a partially functioning organ into a modular synth system, as
synthesizers of a sort.

One of the amps I have in the works is intended to be used with my MKS-50 as
is another stereo amp that will be used to amplify the output of a DJ mixer
connected to two different modular synths (yet to be finished) both equiped
with sequencers. The synths will have their own tube reverbs and the amp
will have 2 of its own reverbs. So that's a lot fo tube circuitry for synth
work.

So I think a lot about tube circuitry a lot when I am building my synth
gear. Especially since I have so many random little tube preamps that find
synth or vocal uses.

A lot of you have proven knowledgeable about tube circuitry in the past.

I haven't been on Usenet in forever since before the web existed as such
really. But I think the appeal that this group has still applies there I
hope: you can almosty always depend on a few quick replies. Webpage-based
forums not so much.

Would I have to wade through a lot of audiophile prejudices on
rec.audio.tubes? I guess it's not called
rec.audio.tubes.direct-heated-cathodes-only...
