Okay, for some reason, I'm only able to post once a day. I've been trying to send this for about 24 hours now. So here's try #umpteenth.
To Samppa - 'You don't specify any figures for the drift.' - I didn't think to take measurements when I did it. The drift is pretty slow, I'd guess about 1Hz every 2-3 minutes after warming up. On the other hand, that's ludicrously fast for musical purposes! And it never stops.

I just remembered a few things:
The extra components on my schematic vs. the National schematic come from attempts to stabilize the thing. The saw standardizer is from Musical Applications of Microprocessors by Hal Chamberlin.
