It depends on the tube's intended use. Some circuits aren't affected by
microphony. Not all tubes are great for audio. Plus you have to remember
that most of the oddball types have been shuffled around for 30-50 years so
the internal structure may be compromised.

A 6CG7 can be a decent low power output amp if you think outside the box a
little. Ampeg used them as capacitive coupled reverb coil drivers.

Other than that, post in usenet group rec.audio.tubes.....thats the place
where all the "toobs" hang out. You'll get far more info there and it'll be
on topic.
