I am not from Tuscaloosa but as a Bama fan I've spent a lot of time
there. I will try to answer any questions you have. My home town is
Cullman which is about 90 minutes northeast of Tuscaloosa and about
halfway between Birmingham and Huntsville. I also lived 14 years in
The Rocket City and about 2 years in Birmingham. The latter is the
closest major city and has the nearest Guitar Center store. I'm not
aware of any music stores in Tuscaloosa but I'm sure there are some
since there is plenty of live music on "the strip" adjacent to the
University of Alabama campus. If you need advice on where to live,
I can hook you up with some friends who have lived there.

For a small fee I can provide directions to Dreamland BBQ which is
the best little rib shack in the known universe. :-)
