if that 6 speaker setup is really 4 + sub + centre, then you can 
treat it as (easily joystickable) quadraphonic and then have separate 
mixes for the sub and centre.

if not, a Wiard JAG provides 10 CV outputs based on the position of a 
joystick :-)
