I asked this question a while back and got several answers but no concensus
it seems.

Midi note 0 theoretically should be 8.17hz. I found with my VCOs at the
time that I got a usable 8 octave range so tuning them for 0volts = 8.17hz
didn't give me much overall range. I finally decided for those VCOs to tune
0volt = 32.70hz.  When I finally assemble the MOTM boards I got, I will
definatly start at 0v=8.17hz=C0 for those.

Most synths 0volts=C, a notable exception is Moog where 0volts=F.
