Hi everyone,
I'm planning to build a cable snake to run my Serge modules into a
16x16 matrix. There will be 32 cables with Pomona-brand banana plugs
on the one end, all coming together on a Sub-D connector on the other
end.
Considering that banana plugs just have a single "tip", no ground,
would there be any benefit to using shielded cables for this?
I mean, if the braided wires on the outside of a shielded cable aren't
actually connected to anything, does it still protect the signal from
interference?
Thanks for any tips!
Alex
