The Childrens Fine Art program is seeking
artists/art educators immediately for the
following fall electronic art classes:
Circuit Bending (New)
Learn electronics, aesthetics, and how to hack
radios, keyboards, voice recorders, etc., for
sounds and new functions in a safe and
exploratory environment. Well borrow a page or
two from Make Magazine, look at some recent art
history and learn how to solder. Class will meet
in a large computer lab, so well have Internet
access for research, and we can electronically
document what we discover. Instructor: Staff

Electronic Tinkering (New)
Creative explorations in simple electronics and
kinetics for art making. We'll put things in
motion with batteries, motors, magnets, and more.
Students will learn how to make simple circuits

tools will be used to construct with and explore.
Class will meet in a large computer lab, so well
have Internet access for research, and we can

About Children's Fine Arts:
CFA is a program that provides high quality art
experiences to over 2,000 children between the
ages of 18 months to 18 years annually. CFA
offers after-school classes, week-end workshops,
and week-long summer studios for kids and teens
at the Junior Museum and Zoo, the Palo Alto Art
Center, and Mitchell Park Teen Center. It
provides a solid education in art basics,
including ceramics, drawing, painting, and fine
crafts as well as specialized workshops including
Art That Flies, Computer Animation, Tinkering,
Japanese Brush Painting, and many others.
Childrens Fine Arts teaches the skills children
