Well, a magnifying glass certainly helps, and good light too, but it
isn't absolutely impossible. I've done a few TSSOP package DACs now,
and they all worked first time.
Doing 8 x 32 TSSOP pins is obviously going to be a pain in the neck,
but I'll manage when the time comes, I'm sure. It'll take a few deep
breaths and plenty of good hot tea.
Anyway, if you don't like the package (not without reason) then I'm
sure there are other octal DACs out there in a more friendly format,
although they might be serial rather than parallel interface.
