[sdiy] Using MIDI internally in a polysynth

Jupiter-6 (8051) , Juno-106 (NEC7810) are some others that come to 
mind. I think that was brilliant
to use the MIDI baud to talk to the slave 8051's on the vox boards. 
Sure you couldn't
send too much MIDI crap at once to the poor ole JP-6 but remember 
people were happy
just to get SCI's talking to Rolands in those early MIDI days ! I'm 
still not convinced the Europa
upgrade,with it's insane CC messages isn't too much for the those 
slaves to process, plus generate EG's and LFO's etc.

I'm getting nostalgic to return to some JP-6 work I started years ago
