That's what I figured. Mine is about 1.5cm, but I got it from a unit that
had been used by the ocean and got salt spray inside it, so I never had the
chance to power it up to figure out where the non-color-coded and unlabled
wires should be connected. It looks like it has it's own little circuit to
make the HV and everything, but I have yet to get even a squeal from it...
I'd like to start hunting for old broken camcorders in 2nd hand stores and
flea markets and what-not. Our local Goodwill has either an idiot who prices
their electronic junk way too high, or he's a guy like me waiting to buy the
stuff for himself.
