An easy way to DIY a variable HT pos & neg supply, is to use a couple of
small variacs driving diode rectifiers.

Note if the variacs aren't isolated - and they usually aren't - then you can
only use half wave rectifier circuits. But if you aren't taking much
current, this is OK.

I guess this is really ON topic, if you are making valve synths ;D
