If one is wanting to measure a voltage 20 or 30 times a second, the question
arises.. how are you going to read the meter 20 or 30 times a second??
What one needs is a tiny oscilloscope... but, until simple LCD scopes are
available for $20 or less (they should be!) it might be possible to make an
alternative using the LM3914, by putting a rotating transparent mass in
front of a bar graph display, so that the bar graph appears to move from
side to side.
Persistence of vision will make this appear to be a (unsynchronized) scope
display.
The design of the cross-section of the transparent mass, I leave to the
physicists on this list. Let me know what you come up with!
