Subject: Minimoog Problem - Please Help

   Hi everyone.

I hope you guys can help me.

I turned my Minimoog on today and after around 10 minutes the pitch
went crazy, drifting
horribly, almost like a DEEP random sample and hold kind of
modulation. I didn't pay close
attention but these random pitch changes might have been up to a
couple octaves deep (/up).

The key contacts are clean and the connections are good, so that's
not the problem.

All 3 oscillators were effected. Also, with the filter key follow
turned off, the filter pitch
is going nuts too when it's set to self oscillate.

I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to electronics
troubleshooting, but I do know how to
solder, have access to a voltmeter, a scope and a can of cooling
spray. I know my limits and
   won't do anything I can't handle.

I'm thinking this is a power supply problem, like maybe a bad
capacitor, since the problem occurs
when filter key tracking is off. But what do I know?

Can anyone please guide me to getting my Minimoog back into working
order quickly?

   I'd really appreciate any help.
   Thanks!!!!!!
