All,

Since it's now common knowledge, I'm waiting on delivery of my 56721
development kit, to go with the Coldfire 5251 dev kit I currently have.

The 56721 is a dual core DSP, you can get more info here -
http://www.freescale.com/files/dsp/doc/prod_brief/DSP56721PB.pdf

I'm hoping to rejuvinate the Chameleon and work on a Mk II version, so I'm
looking for developers interested in working on an open source, open system
with modern parts ie
most likely the MCF5251 coldfire with USB, ATA, QVGA, etc and the 56721
DSP.

Ideally you should have experience with DSP programming and a love of
synths (or audio processing). You should also be willing to share your work
with others under a suitable license (GPL/FLOSS/etc).
You should also have some electronics knowledge as we may be modifying the
dev kits and developing a new front panel (hopefully with QVGA screen, more
knobs, etc).
I'm keen to get in touch with UK/EU developers in particular. US ones are
welcome to express an interest, but I will have to pass you onto someone
else who's looking after the US side of it.

I ran through the breif outline of this idea with some people at SIY 2006,
but I couldn't say much more at that time as freescale hadn't announced the
new chips, sorry guys.

Mail me OFF LIST, if you're interested please.
