[sdiy] Crude sampler chip

Heya,

There's a bit of info on my electronics page:
http://bugbrand.co.uk/pages/electronics.htm
--scroll down to ISD1416 Lofi looper

While this is based on the older 1416 chip, there are many similarities
to the 2560.
I keep on meaning to get back to the project, but haven't recently...

But it does cover some useful areas like clock rates (need to be high!),
interfacing (links to people who've done the work before) and wierdy
randomisation.

I just read through what I'd written (a year or two ago) and actually I
didn't ever properly eliminate the 'pop' when starting/stopping playback...
Oh yeah, and the CV input to the 555 -- huhhh, not good! I've actually
used a 4046 PLL with alright results for the clock but never wrote it
all up....

For Gating / Resets -- I made use of some pretty standard LM358 based
circuitry making sure it was generating 0 - 5v signals.

Good luck with it!
Best,Bugs
