You are mixing R and C values, there, but yes, I see where the HW
circuit is simplified.
The bass circuit does look interesting, too. My biggest surprise was
seeing all those TL071s in the Quad! Of course, you couldn't get the
nice Burr-Brown and Analog Devices op amps back then.
If you happen to decide to make a PCB, you can count me in. :-) The
unique Quad tone controls made using better op amps? I'd build a few sets.
