Totally Off Topic.. but I asked this in a guitar amps forum years ago
and never got a response. I wanted to run my guitar amp "flat", so
none of the tone controls were colouring the sound.. as though they
weren't even there. I never knew if the presence knob should be at 0,
10 or in the middle.

I ended up simulating the tone stack using software and a schematic I
found online (Sovtek Mig-60) and the settings for a "flat" response
sounded like crap anyways. But it didn't simulate the presence knob,
and to this day.. I don't know if the presence knob is bypassed at 0,
10, or somewhere in the middle.
