Question 1:
Hey all. Somewhat of a noob. Making my own modular. I'm trying to figure out how the hell to get power to my HDCC-150-AG triple output psu. I take it i use the ac power lugs... I don't want to kill myself. Contacted the support and they send me a few images (ones that i already have). Not much help. If anyone has used these power supplies (which i suspect some of you have, since they were recommended by many synth enthusiasts), could you help shed some light on this.
Questions 2:
I have multiple lugs that i will need to connect to the distro's on this board... not sure where to start with that either. It's just a few lugs that require a few cables, but i don't want to hurt myself and arent knowledgeable enough on how to do this. I've got a very expensive soldering iron/all the parts.... all the metal cut for the panels.. it's jsut time to start wiring.
While we're at it, I might as well let you know what i've gotten myself into.
I'm making a homemade modular. It's 1 cabinet so far with 2 rows at 36" long. Dimentions of all modules and cabinet are for moog specs. I am using the triple output power supply for the additional +5v. The supply will go to a motm 990 distro and then chained to a motm 960. This will give me plenty of mta 6pin and 4pin connectors for various types of modules (mfos/moog/.com etc...) I'll be hacking one end of the connectors off so i can attach mate-n-loks to them and then to the individual modules. I'm starting with mfos stuff (+-12 that will work with +-15 (which is why i got this power supply).). I've already made the midi-cv kit form paia and made my own front panel. I will be having all uniform front panels and connectors for ease of use. I have the mfos vco/vcf/vca/eg. Eventually, i'd like to grab the .com spring reverb, and the moog sequencer... then the sky's the limit.
Thanks in advance for anything you guys can do for me.
Dave
