I am not the source of the "group buy", but I would also get some for $6ea!

FYI: there are still *1000s* of CEM ICs 'out there'. However, the people 
that have the parts:

a) have seen my website and know what the 'going rate' is
b) want me to buy all of their stock at once

For example, the people over in the UK that did the Cheetah MS6 synth 
probably have 3,000 CEM3396s. About 5 years ago, I bought 500 from them. A 
few months ago, these ICs turned up "on the market" for <$8ea BUT only if 
you bought ALL of them.

The CEM3310s I have were bought in this manner 8 years ago (a large batch 
became available, I bought all of them at once). There is an international 
'stock market' for buying/selling ICs (referred to as 'the gray market') and 
every now and them I look around. But in many cases, the ICs listed are not 
actually "in stock", rather thay are called 'teaser bids' to see if someone 
"bites", then the brokers go off and try to actually find some. I have also 
sold CEM ICs into the 'gray market' (when I first started).

Again: just because these ICs are listed on the market as "available" does 
not mean they *really* are. Just type CEM3372 into Google and look for links 
to things like USBid and this:
