Wow! The CEM web site lists  these chips at $40 each. Is that big a  
discount common when ordering large batches of chips?

Anyway, I would be willing to order 5-8 at somewhere around $6 each.

Any chance you'll be ordering any of the other chips? Envelope  
generator (3310) maybe?
