[sdiy] Software to log frequency every x seconds?

Hey all,
I've tried searching the archives for this, but couldn't come up with
anything. I'm just wondering if anyone is using software to log
frequency drift of VCO's and stuff? I'd like to graph the frequency
drift over time of VCO's to see how accurate they are, etc. I've been
using just a chromatic tuner program on my downstairs computer, and
running down and writing down the frequency every hour or so.

If there was some program that could be set to capture this every x
seconds and save it, that'd be awesome.

Imagine something that went one step farther and also logged the
temperature with each reading. Anyways, I'm not sure if something
already exists... just an amateur here, and thought it would be
interesting to capture this data and see it graphed out, and maybe
it'd help other builders as well.
