[sdiy] Famous Fixed Filters - FFF PCB ?

I agree, although it would probably be a box with a different design brief than
Famous Filters. I would definately buy a filter box with the design brief of
simply trying to be the BEST sounding analog preset formant filter ever made,
one which can turn any string machine into a choir with an extended set of
preset formants like "Ih", "Eh", "Ah", "Oh", "Uh", "Mm", that could quickly be
called up at the touch of a dial and where adjacent formants could be crossfaded
with an envelope or LFO.
As has been noted in recent posts today, in order to achieve this, some time
would probably have to be spent analysing the frequency spectrum of the best
sounding vocal formants and applying those spectra to the circuit design to get
the closest approximation and thus the best sound. This is where creative
circuit design would be important in order to make an efficient design with as
few filter poles as possible, but which still matches the measured frequency
spectrum pretty closely, and the artistry would of course be in determining what
the best formants are.

i've been trying to get good formant type behaviour out of my modular
for ages and so far i've not been that happy with the results.
i would buy a PCB just for the VP330 filter! anything else would be a bonus.
thanks for providing excellent designs to the community.
