You really have designs where the Eagle autorouter is of any help?

Although I own a full-blown Eagle pro license w/ all 3 modules (got it
for rather little money from the remains of a defunct company, and
Cadsoft was happy to transfer the license), I didn't find the autorouter
very useful, especially when it comes to very space- and
layer-restricted designs.

And when it finally spits out a layout, then I'm rather unsatisfied with
the result (read: way too many vias, very unstructured layout).

But the schematics and PCB editor is rather easy to use. There's still
improvement possible regarding the library system and setting up own
devices/libraries, but then I remember the horrors of 3.x library
handling far too well...
