[sdiy] Ideas for synthesizing an electric violin?

Hey folks,

My wife has decided to pick up the violin again after like 20 years so
we picked up a cheap electric violin. We'll get a better one later on
down the road but for now this one is good for practice and
EXPERIMENTATION. I've already mucked about with running it through my
Ziggaurat Processor and Synthacon VCF. You can hear it being used a
little for background sound FX in our new song Sculpture of Despair -

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has done something like this before
- running an electric violin through their modular..
I would love to know what was done and hear some examples.
Anybody?
