Hi David,

I'm wondering if this is similar to one of those BBE "Sonic Maximizers"? 
If it is, it makes the top end sound "smeary" to me.   I've played with one 
at the music store, and wasn't too impressed.    But literally thousands of 
those sonic maximizers have been sold.... so maybe you'll like it!

Maybe you could dig and try to find the schematic of a Sonic Maximixer and 
compare it to the patent.   If it's the same concept, I'm sure you'll be 
able to find a used one at a music store to try out (I see them for sale all 
the time)
