And..wear safety glasses :-).  This isn't quite on par with my 
unqualified 'let er rip' statement re: discharging capacitors 
(forgetting that in diy synth projects some people like Harry  use ones 
capabale of turning the screwdriver into plasma), BUT...in 
troubleshooting one amp I did get pegged in the head with the plastic 
from a TO-220 device once.  The user complained of some funny distortion 
and as soon as I got it open and powered it up and got my head 
positioned right BLAMMO!  hehe.  Another time I got shot in the side by 
a TO-3 transitor, a brand new one that had a defect where something 
shorted inside and melted down part of the case and as pressure built up 
inside it made a nice tiny calibre weapon :-)  Barely ding the skin 
after going through my clothing but....man..you could indeed put an eye 
out with that so watch it. -Bob
