Just a note to say that a decent charge pump + some filter caps work
pretty well to get dual-supply from a single-supply source.  Maybe a
little more expensive currentwise, but if the device is intended to be
plugged into a wall wart... anyway I wouldn't want that possibility to
be overlooked. A +9V supply, a 7662 and a few ancillary bits 'n bobs
and you can have a stomp box with dual-supplied op amps and high
headroom running off a wart.  I wonder why I don't see this more
often.
