[sdiy] safe HV cap discharge tool?

I'm sure this has been gone over before, but I had an idea for a HV (350V
DC) cap discharge tool and I wanted to see what you all thought.

Here it is: a light bulb socket with 120V light bulb, with a 1K Ohm 20 Watt
resistor shorted over the terminals with Mulitmeter probes connected to the
terminals; touch the probes to each cap and it discharges the energy through
the bulb as light and heat. I thought the resistor might slow the dishcharge
a bit and maybe it should be more Ohms or maybe it isn't even needed.

I remember the day I thought 100uF at 160V wasn't a big deal to discharge with
a screwdriver... so I did. I didn't really need THAT screwdriver that badly
so it wasn't a big loss...

cheers,
aa
