Because when I started that Triple Chorus project, the TDA1022 was *the* 
chip that was widely available and apparently no one was using ...

I'm still convinced tat there are a lot more of them out there, distributed 
to shops all around the world.

It's often frustrating to look at schematics for BBD type projects and find
that it's one that I don't have.

MN3007's and MN3207's are still available to the point of ubiquity and new
MN3207 and MN3102 clones are in current production.

Basing new designs on BL3207's and BL3208's (the latter available both in
8-pin and 14-pin dip) will ensure that there is no scramble to get "lifetime
buy" parts.

I'm glad I still have a lot of MN3007's though because the S/N ratio really
is significantly better.
I wish Shanghai-Belling had gone for the PMOS versions instead of the NMOS,
regardless of the advantages NMOS parts have (faster clock speeds, but using
a brutish clock overcomes even this, I think maybe a little less distortion,
but PMOS distortion is GOOD...).

But I digress...

I just think it's a good idea to plan way ahead. Sure someoen who wants to
clone a BF2 is already set, and maybe I've overlooked projects in the SDIY
realm that use MN3207's.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Juergen Haible: his designs are
sublime. I still wish he'd spill with schematic drawings for his Dimension
D. I have the factory schematic and boy is it more than a slightly jacked-up
Dimension C.

And ironically my plans to build a Dimension C instead of a Dimension D have
been thwarted by my not having any MN3207's. BUt I don't have any HA1457's
either...
