Yeah, the LED's work. I tried to swap the 4049 hex inverters but it 
didn't help. However, I got info from another list member that he had 
problems with broken circuit board traces. I hope I'll have time later 
this week to check this.

The ensemble effect itself works fine (however, the 'amount' slider 
doesn't have very much effect, but it is noticeable) but as said before, 
the flanger slider does nothing. Gotta check that!

Sounds like the almost always necessary recapping procedure... :>
