Hi list,

I need to build a remote circuit that
will be installed in a remote forest region
in Canada. It will be similar to a datalogger
type of application but the unit will record
mono audio 16bits/44ksample sec. for a specified
amount of time in a SD memory card.
The audio data will then be downloaded via cellular modem.

I need to pick a good A/D converter for sampling
the surrounding audio. I found the Analog Devices AD7684.
It shows a suitable S/N ratio and is single supply
like I need.
Any suggestion for other A/D's would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Jean-Pierre Desrochers
