And VCOs, as I already posted.

Also, if I'm not mistaken -- a 50-50 bet, at best! -- OTAs can be 
used instead of op amps for things like summers, inverters, and so 
on. (Don't misread that. They are not drop-in replacements for op amps.)

There was once a question posted on SDIY along the lines of "What is 
the #1 synthesizer chip of all time?" Some guys (including JH, I 
think) answered "CA3280" because you can build a complete synthesizer 
with them. Am I remembering this correctly?
